Hello,
After the WebNative Portal Conference, I wanted to ask the person who mentioned using Dalim Dialogue about their experiences. Collaboration on proofs, commenting etc is a big part of what we see missing from WebNative Portal. Do you find Dialogue is a useful tool for this? Also, were legal issues about approvals considered when setting up your approval system (ie. certifying people's responses etc).
Thanks
Carol--
Although we use the commenting features built into Webnative for photography, We use Dialogue for client comments and reviews of the CS spreads. Typically, the client's legal team is one of the last of the automated routings.
Clients like selecting existing text and revising it. And, it works well with our account managers, production, and the proofing team to ensure the requested change was made.
Having a WEB accessible central repository for all the comments involved in all rounds of a catalog has proved indispensable.
hi phil,
sounds like you are using it for what i would expect we would. if your clients are not particularly "tech-saavy" are they finding it easy? our teams here are worried about forcing something technically difficult on the client end. did it require training of the client users?
Yes, Dialogue has been extremely well received by our clients. We prepared a short tutorial pdf for training. It works well alongside Trigger actions for routing.
The only issue has been it's use of Java on the client station. Dialog requires the current Java installed, which, in most organizations means a call to the IT department.
