WebNative Portal is an extremely powerful application if you are looking to change the look, feel and functionality of your WebNative site, well beyond the basic "styles" format which ships with the release product. Integration of other solutions such as Remote Director, Dalim Twist, Dialogue, Mistral, Creo Insite, etc., can easily be programmed into a customized Portal site, creating a very well integrated environment for your clients. Further, it will also help facilitate the clustering of multiple WebNative file systems, as well as being able to be completely branded and deployed at a clients location, either on their network, or in a DMZ.Scott PelliconeVP XUGDirector of Technology Quebecor World, Premedia
Hi Scott, my name is Neil McCutcheon. You may recall we met last year. We love what you do in Portal but are currently strugging with a very significant deterioration in performance compared to using WN directly. Thus far whilst trying hard our integrators and Xinet are struggling to get to the bottom of why this is happening. Are you or anyone else out there aware of other users having this issue?

Until very recently we had real problems with our WebNative site. After extensive testing we found the problem to be with our Portal. In tests bypassing the Portal was more than twice as fast going through it. To give TPI and Xinet their due they did aggressively investigate the problem and with the brand new version of Portal along with the upgrade of FullPress, WebNative and a hardware upgrade the issue has all but gone away. We do occasionally see freezes like yourself and this is the next focus for our investigations, if we find anything useful out I’ll let you know.
